Dear _____________,

Thank you for taking me on as a practicing student teacher this semester. I am so fortunate to
have the opportunity to learn and grow under your guidance.

This is my fourth year attending the University of Lethbridge in the dual degree program of
Kinesiology and Education. I was overjoyed when I got the accepted into the faculty of
Education. Since my first semester at Red Deer College, I have been looking forward to getting
into the education program and more so into a classroom. I grew up in Sylvan Lake and did my
entire grade school there. I have had a lot of opportunity working with kids since graduation
most of which, came from coaching. The majority of my time in school was spent being active.
This continues to be my favorite pastime. Science and math were my favorite subjects.
However, since grade twelve, I have delved more into writing and the arts. Throughout most of
school my writing was poor. Although with hard work and discipline I managed to score
honours in language arts in grade twelve which is a minor but very meaningful achievement for
me. Other than that, the majority of my achievements have come from excelling in athletics
and athletic citizenship.

Thank you for accepting me into your classroom and taking the time to guide me on my
academic journey in becoming the best teacher I can be. I really look forward to meeting you
and your class and learning as much as I can during my PS1 experience.

Sincerely,

Liam Pafford
