“Why does the vacuum tubes not used for today’s modern electronics?”

According to Crystal Fire, vacuum tubes is a glass tube surrounding a vacuum. As far as I
can tell, the reason why it is not used for today’s modern electronics is because it has a lot of
cons when you going to use it. According to Effect Rode, one of these disadvantages is vacuum
tubes are bulky means it taking up much space, hence less suitable for portable products. Also it
requires a higher operating voltages so its consumption in power is high, needs heater supply that
generates waste heat and yields lower efficiency, notably for small-signal circuits. Since it is a
glass tube surrounding a vacuum, it was fragile and more prone to microphonics compared to
metal transistors. And sometimes vacuum tubes higher cost than equivalently powered
transistors.

Actually, Vacuum tubes are still used today but most of it were replaced by transistors,
since it costs lower than tubes and smaller than tubes. It has also a lower power consumption
compared to tubes and more physical ruggedness than tubes. There’s a better and more efficient
device now than vacuum tubes that’s why vacuum tubes were not used for today’s modern
electronics.
