Dear boss.
I am writing you this reference with the description of some Colombian regions, since next month we have the
exhibition of the different Colombian places. In this beautiful country, we meet different cultures. As we first
have the Caribbean region, the ‘coastal people’, as the inhabitants of this area of the country are called, are
characterized by their happiness, kindness and their marked accent. Important rhythms have been born in the
Caribbean region that have managed to position themselves worldwide. Among them is Vallenato, one of the
most representative musical genres of the region and the country.
Also of great importance are its festivals such as the Barranquilla Carnival, one of the most representative on the
coast. To this is added, the Vallenata Legend Festival, the Francisco el Hombre Festival, Independence Festivities,
January 20 Festivities, among others. They like the dance of the cumbia, the interpretation of the vallenato, eat
banana and fried fish, the sancocho or fish soup, the mote de queso con hogao, they wear the vueltiao hat, their
fresh and colorful clothing, and they tell great myths and legends .
We also have the peaceful region, this area of the country is characterized by cultural manifestations such as its
folk dances and its sounds that come from the African peoples.
The music of the South Pacific stands out for the characteristic sounds that come from instruments such as
marimbas, cununos, drums, bass drums, Guasás and violins. All of these are the product of the African heritage
and of the indigenous, European and Afro union.
the event that brings together the highlights of this folk music is the Petronio Álvarez Festival. Along with this,
there are others such as the Currulao Festival, the Pacific Coast Folk Festival and the Black and White Carnival.
they always seek perfection in beauty, they like to eat rice with coconut, stuffed with cheese and served with
egg.
Happy day
