COVID games

Soccer tennis:
● Use anything except your hands and head (due to covid) to get the ball over the tennis
net
● Students have a 5 second count-down to get the ball over the net
● 3 people have to touch it before it can go over the net

Body Rock paper scissors:

● 2 teams at either end of the gym/space decide on which pose (rock, paper or scissors)
they will chose
● Once they decide they will run to the centre and perform their pose and play against
another team.
● The team that “wins” that round chases the other team to their end of the gym/space
○ E.g., team A does a paper pose and team B does a scissor pose, so team A wins
and will chase the other team.
● If participants get caught, they join the opposite team

Noodle Tag (link tag/cat and mouse, octopus tag, or different variations):
● Noodle Tag:
○ Same as normal tag but with pool noodles
■ Note: students use the same noodle throughout the whole game to avoid
exchanging equipment
● Cat and Mouse Tag:
○ There will be one cat at the beginning of the game and everyone else is the
mouse.
○ Each student will have a pool noodle to prevent direct contact with other students
○ The cat will chase after the mice and when caught, they will link together with
pool noodles
○ The game is done when all the mice have been caught
● Octopus Tag:
○ One Octopus will be identified from the group and have to catch as many people
as possible
■ Note: everyone will have a pool noodle to prevent from directly touching
other people
○ Students will line up on one side of the gym and the octopus will call out
“Octopus” where the students will then run to the other side of the gym
○ If caught, the student will become an octopus as well.
○ The octopi who were caught can move horizontally with their noodle arms to try
and catch the other students as well
○ The game is done when everyone is caught

Relay Race/ Circuit:

● Relay Race
○ Split students into 2 even teams and have them line up
(2m apart) in their groups at one end of the gym and
provide each student with their own ball
○ A student from each team races to the end of the relay
race (see image) and come back
○ The objective of the game is to be the first team to
complete the relay race
● Have different stations set up
