CONTENT STANDARD 3.1 By the end of the 6-year primary schooling, pupils will be able to
form letters and words in neat legible print including cursive writing.

non-linear texts with guidance.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES By the end of the 6 year primary schooling, pupils will be able to
(a) underline the correct answers (low level)

1. Teacher puts up the song lyrics on the board. (Appendix 1)


2. Teacher asks pupils to identify objects that can be found in the
song lyrics.
3. Teacher goes through the answers with the pupils.

While-reading
1. Teacher reads for the pupils.
2. Pupils read the song lyrics aloud.
3. Teacher chooses pupils randomly to read aloud the lyrics.
4. Teacher explains and demonstrates how to do the task.
5. Teacher asks the pupils to complete the ‘True’ or ‘False’ task.
( Appendix 2)
6. Pupils read their answers individually.
7. Teacher goes through the answers with the pupils.

Post-reading - Task 3. Sing the song.


1. Teacher teaches the pupils how to sing the song. (Appendix 1)
2. Pupils sing the song with the correct rhythm.

Task 4. Listing and describing objects.

2. Pupils list down the objects they have in their bags.
3. Teacher asks the pupils to read the list what they have written

5. Pupils use simple words and sentences to describe the objects.
6. Teacher distributes worksheets and explains how to complete the
task.
7. Pupils complete the task by filling in the blanks. (Appendix 3)
