4. Modification of Piston Crown on DS-26 Engines


K75-38T - 30th September 1975

The piston crown of the DS-26 has been modified


to improve the operation performance of the
DAIHATSU engines.

The new piston crown is interchangeable with the


old type piston crown however, the engine has to
be adjusted for the maximum pressure of your
engine model. The increased overall height gives
a greater maximum pressure due to a narrower
top clearance.

Compression ring grooves four (4) grooves three (3) grooves

Overall height 104mm 110mm

Cooling lub oil passage 6 holes dia. 12mm 9 holes dia. 10mm

Top clearance 16mm 10mm
