Good afternoon everyone, this afternoon, my partner Shaina and I will have The things to do here are the
are the instructions for the student. It has two colors of
our presentation in this subject. We are assigned in Grade 11 and under
Statistics and Probability, we chose the topic, Normal Distributions.
We are going to present to you the lesson plan we made, the table of
specifications, and the rubrics for process skills and for problem solving.
We made a semi-detailed lesson plan.
First, the objectives.
It has three parts.
A, for the content standard, the learner demonstrate understanding of key
concepts of normal probability distribution.
B, for the performance standard, the learner is able to accurately formulate
and solve real-life problems in different disciplines involving normal
distribution.
And C, the learning competency or the objectives, at the end of the discussion,
the students should be able to:
1. State and illustrate the properties of a normal curve distribution.
2. Illustrate and construct a normal curve.
Then, II. Content, Normal Distributions and Its Properties.
Third is the learning resources, we have here the materials—PowerPoint
presentation, worksheets and simulations. Then, the references.
Next, fourth is the procedure.
A PowerPoint presentation will be sent to google classroom. On the first slide,
as you can see here, it is a short introduction with instructions to let the
students click the link and follow all the instructions and observe what they
will see.
After a student click the given link, this is what the website, Interactive
Mathematics looks like. It has a short background on the normal distribution
and the instructions for the simulation.
sliders, the red is for the mean and the standard deviation and the green color
(or the green dot) is for the proportion of the area they have selected.
With the given mean, standard deviation, and area, they will take note of their
observations. Of what happened to the graph and the shaded region every time
they move the sliders.
After that, on the same PowerPoint presentation given to them, we let the
students watch a video on normal distributions and its properties. Again, they
have to take down notes. The video is retrieved from YouTube.
Then, also in that same ppt is the lesson proper on the first topic. It has 12
slides that will explain further what they did on the simulation and in the
YouTube video they had watched.
At the end of the presentation, the students will have a self-evaluation. It has
three questions that they are going to answer based on what they understood.
As an application to the topic discussed, they will be given a link, from the
website, online stat book a short demonstration and a simulation on the
properties of a normal distributions.
This is what the website looks like. It has an easy and friendly user interface
that contains their objectives and the instructions for the simulation.
Aside from the simulation, the website also contains some questions related to
the topic.
Then, here, as you can see, it contains illustrations and few questions to test
what they have learned.
The fourth part is the evaluation. This is in the form of worksheet which they
will send their answer in the google classroom.
