“Disaster Risk Reduction Building Project”

Performance Task Description:

Your Engineering team is invited to present a proposal of building a structure in a place where it is safe and can withstand
Geologic hazards and natural disasters such as earthquake, landslides and volcanic eruptions. The computations of
materials and cost of the projects should be projected. Your group will present a Power point presentation discussing the
aforementioned concepts. The presentation must be appealing to the clients that would make them decide to have
transaction with your team. Show confidence, pleasing personality and knowledge as you discuss your presentation.
Mechanics/Procedure :

1. You will be group into 3, taking the role as Engineer, Geologist, and Marketing officer
2. Search for ways on building practices for disaster mitigation.
3. Make a proposal for a building construction considering a safety from geologic hazards.
4. Make a Power point presentation with 3 parts. The Building project, Safety from Geologic hazards and Cost of the Project
5. Wear corporate attire for the presentation showing full confidence and pleasing personality as you present the project.
