ASSIGNMENT 1. TECHNOLOGIES AND IT’S USE IN TIMES OF PANDEMIC

EXPLANATION:
- Due to the often usage of television here in our house, I saw how advanced and efficient our
technology these days and in times like this. In the picture, I draw the different ways our technology
helped us this pandemic, where the normal lives that we had been used to has been changed in a
blink of an eye. What I draw in the picture is the technologies that have been often used since the
limits had been lay down. Let’s start with the Schools, due to the restrictions, getting back into a
normal classroom setting is almost impossible due to the face that the disease that has spreading all
over the world is so easy to be passed on. That’s why these online class, google meets and google
classroom has been created, and to be honest, I think that it is almost your just like in a classroom
also and things for me have been easier because it taught me to be more organized and disciplined.
 Second is the prevention of misinformation or fake news by the use of different social media
platforms like Facebook, Google New, Instagram, Twitter and many more. It has been useful for us
to be more aware of what is really happening in our surroundings, in order to be safe, because being
updated in news always can be part of your survival in this pandemic.

Third, is the joining forces of the medical and the robotic engineering. This is a unique one
and also a life-saving thing that has been created this pandemic. Doctors and nurses has been pushed
onto their limits due to the fact that cases are not going down, the curve is not flattening, that’s why
engineers created Robots and AI’s to at least help the doctors, minimize their work in the hospitals,
and save more medical workers. Also, technology like thermal scanners, thermal imaging, machines
for the Rapid Test Kits and Swab Test has been very useful, it helped the frontline workers to trace
people that had been infected by the virus.

Lastly, mobile phones with applications like Shoppee, Lazada, Food Panda, and many more
that has online shopping features, has also been used so much because malls and restaurants has also
been restricted, and people also chose to eat in their homes ordering from their phone rather than
eating in a restaurant or shopping in a mall where you can’t really know whose infected. Imagine
having no technology in times like this, what can possibly happen.
