Daily Internship Notes Log (10-28-11-04)
Today, I met with May to discuss how she is feeling after her 3-week fitness plan. She informed me
that she is feeling fit and fine. She is extremely impressed with her results and she cannot wait to continue
down the path of a healthy and active lifestyle. I urged her to stay in contact with me if she has any
questions or concerns.
I have enjoyed my training experience with May and I a looking forward to seeing how she progresses in
the future.

Daily Notes:
I used this day to gather information about the written portion of the course. I read through the
documents posted on Blackboard about fibromyalgia and exercise management guidelines. While taking
notes, I realized how I can apply this knowledge to my future career as a Physical Therapist when aiding
to patients with limited mobility.

Daily Notes:
Today, I read over chapter 3-ACSM’s exercise management for persons with chronic diseases and
disabilities while taking notes and added them to my collection with fibromyalgia. Although in the near
future I would like to work pediatrics, I realized that learning this information will help me while
completing clinicals in grad school and during my internship.
Tomorrow, I will continue recording my progress with chapter 3 and complete my notes.

Daily Notes:
Today, I read chapter 3 which focused on ACSM’s exercise management for persons with chronic
diseases and disabilities. While reading, I understood the importance of curating a fitness plan that is
detailed for each client. This is important because each body is completely different from the rest. I
cannot create a plan that is intermediate for a patient that has never exercises before. According to step
5, I have to select a physical performance assessment that will target their problems and help strengthen
the patient.
