WATUT – WIEL
Narrative Reports along with photos of phase II building in Watut-Weil

The phase -II building of two class room attached with staff office was planned to build in Watut. Plan and design
of the class room is same as previous class room built in watut last year. The school project was given to Mr.
Mathew the engineer, who is the one, built the first school building. The building construction was planned to
start in the month of February 2020 but due to covid-19 lockdown, we could not begin the work as scheduled
earlier. Adding to covid-19 lock down he also had head injury and happened to relieve from the project hence it
is delayed in starting the project.

Afterwards school project was given to Mr. Peter Swanga one of the builder from catholic community. He agreed
to do the project but he demand K20, 000 for labour cost. We could not afford it so we looked for another
contractors. Later we could find a contractor from PNG forest a catholic man Mr. Nelson Yowi. He agreed to
construct a school for K5000 with the condition of working on weekends only and providing food and transports.
We agreed to give the project to Mr. Nelson Yowi. After the relaxation of lockdown, we have started the
construction in the month of June as scheduled to work on weekends. Sometimes work was delayed because of
delivering of materials from PNGF and meteorological conditions. Now we have
completed the project on 4th of October. Almost it took 32 days to complete
the project.
