ABOUT PUNJAB GROUP of Colleges:

Since 1985, Punjab Group of Colleges (PGC) has successfully established the largest quality education
network in the private sector across Pakistan. The Group, as a progressive institute includes 3 chartered
universities, 417 colleges, 15 Resource Academia Campuses, 1075 Allied Schools, and 425 EFA Schools.

History:

In 1985 Chairman Mian Amer Mehmood set the foundations for Punjab College in Lahore with the
purpose to not only educate the youth at the intermediate and graduation levels, but to also maintain a
high quality of teaching methods. With time, Punjab College set itself as a benchmark of quality and
performance in the education sector by delivering the best results and career success for millions of
alumni.

After a continuous struggle of 35 years, the name Punjab College has grown into the largest network of
colleges in Pakistan having 417 purpose-built campuses in 118 cities nationwide with state-of-the-art
educational facilities. Over the years, Punjab Colleges have maintained top positions in all educational
boards, sports, and debates.

Their journey does not end here as they strive for the continuous improvement of their education system
with the help of innovative and ground breaking teaching methods

Punjab college Gujrat campus:

We’ve visited Punjab college Gujrat Girls campus. Their hierarchy was very attractive and we have
conducted survey to assess their performance management system. Their performance management
system was very good, we have assessed their PMS by analyzing questionnaires.

Results:
After assessing the questionnaire we have come to conclusion that their PMS have all the characteristics
of ideal PMS. Their PMS is valid, and practically applicable. Correctability also exists in their
organization. If anything went wrong intensionally or unintentionally, it is correctable. PMS is conducted
fairly in PGC. Training is also provided after evaluations.They are also evaluating employees both in
teams as well as individually. Employees are satisfied from this system and they get motivation to
perform better.

Recommendations:

 As it is noticed in the survey that higher level employees are having two-way communication
process in appraisal meetings and middle level employees are having one -way communication.
This should be improved, they should also be part of discussion in appraisal meetings.
 Some of the employees feel pressurized and get distracted from important activities because of
the fear of being assessed. So, it is recommended that conduct the appraisal activities in a friendly
environment.
 Some employees did not get counseling after appraisals. It is recommended to provide feedbacks
after the appraisal to every person who was being evaluated.
