Observation is the first step of the scientific method involves making observation about

somethingyou that interests you. This is very important if you are doing science science project
because you want your project to be focused on something that will hold your attention.

Question- once you've made your observation you must formulate a question about what you
have observed. Your question should tell what it is that you are trying to discover or accomplish
in your experement.

The hypothesis is the key component of the scientific process. A hypothesis is an idea that is
suggested as an explanation for a natural event, a particular experience or specific condition
that can be tested through definable experimentation.

Experement -Once you've evelop a hypothesis, you must design and conduct an experement
that will test it. It is important that you include and identify a controlled variable

Result or Analysis- the result are were you report what happened in the experement. That
includes detailing all observation and data made during your experement.

Conclusion- the final step of scientific method is developing a conclusion. This is where all of the
result from the experement are analyzed and a determination is reached about the hypothesis.

The practical purpose of building science is to provide predictive capability to optimize the
building performance and sustainability of new and existing buildings, understand or prevent
building failures, and guide the design of new techniques and technologies.

HOW DOES ORGANIC FERTILIZER AFFECT PLANT GROWTH

DATA INFORMATION

Organic fertilizers comprise a variety of plant-derived materials that range from fresh or dried

plant material to animal manures and litters to agricultural by-products (Wohlfarth and

Schroeder, 1979; Das and Jana, 2003; Kumar et al., 2004). The nutrient content of organic

fertilizers varies greatly among source materials, and readily biodegradable materials make

better nutrient sources. Nitrogen and phosphorus content is lower, often substantially lower, in

organic fertilizers compared to chemical fertilizers.

There are six primary nutrients that plants require in fairly large quantities.

carbon from CO2 in the air

hydrogen from water

oxygen from water and air

Nitrogen helps plants make the proteins they need to produce new tissues. In nature, nitrogen

is often in short supply so plants have evolved to take up as much nitrogen as possible, even if it

means not taking up other necessary elements. If too much nitrogen is available, the plant may

grow abundant foliage but not produce fruit or flowers. Growth may actually be stunted

because the plant isn't absorbing enough of the other elements it needs.

Phosphorus stimulates root growth, helps the plant set buds and flowers, improves vitality and

increases seed size. It does this by helping transfer energy from one part of the plant to

another. To absorb phosphorus, most plants require a soil pH of 6.5 to 6.8. Organic matter and

the activity of soil organisms also increase the availability of phosphorus.

Potassium improves overall vigor of the plant. It helps the plants make carbohydrates and

provides disease resistance. It also helps regulate metabolic activities.

Hypothesis

Without nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium the plant simply cannot grow because it cannot

make the pieces it needs.

Experiment

I will compare plants without organic fertilizer to plant with organic fertilizer and I will observe the

effect of organic fertilizer on the health of the plants.

Result and Analysis

The plants with organic fertilizer is healthy and strong because by using organic fertilizer it

provides proper nutrients to the plants.

The plants without organic fertilizer is not healthy because lack of nutrients that plants needs.

Conclusion

To make plant grow faster and healthy, what you need to do is supply the elements that the

plant need in readily available forms that is the goal of fertilizer. Most fertilizer supply just

nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium because the other chemical are needed in much lower

quantities and are generally available in most soil. Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium

availability is big limit to growth.
