Q NO.1
Learning Theories
Learning is an activity to gain knowledge either from schools and universities and through
conscious or subconscious way. Human are learning each and every day through different ways.
For example: we learn from class lectures as well as we are learning through conversation with
others and listening to others. There are many theories related to learning. Following some
theories are explained in terms of teaching and learning.
1. Re-enforcement Theory
In Re-enforcement theory, learning can occur with the interaction between student and teacher
through changes in the behavior. Students can learn through behavior when it is repeated by the
teacher as it will becomes the habit of the students. There are two ways positive and negative
attitude or behavior that a teacher can follow to learn their students and students also learn very
easily with this way.
Example: Positive attitude is when teacher give reward or appreciation to the student so they
will get the confidence to learn more and get involve in the lecture because they are motivated.
But if a teacher does punish a student for wrong answer, they will not talk again or tell the
answer for other questions because they are demotivated. So, it clear now that, when a teacher
motivates their students, they will reach the goals that set by them and learn positive things.
2. Social Learning Theory
In this theory learning will occur through observing, example observing others attitude, behavior
and changes in the behavior. People make their role models and they are following them. Their
role models have much knowledge, they are optimistic, they have empathy and they help others
to reach their goals.
Some times students are not able to get attention and get involved in the lectures because of less
attention, interest and any memory problem because some students are unable to attend the
lecture more than an hour. This theory can hep teachers to connect with the students as this
theory help in learning behavior to being a role model for them.
Example: I want to become a teacher as I am impressed by our class teacher because every
student like her. As she made herself a role model for everyone. That’s why I want become like
her because of her behavior with students.
3. Goal Setting theory
In this theory teacher will set the goal and in order to achieve that goal teacher will motivate the
student to achieve that goal as it increases the level of motivation and achievement.
Example: Teachers will make the groups of the students to ask each other questions and each
student will try to perform better from others to achieve the goal.
4. Adult learning theory
It refers to how adult learning is different from children. Here teacher must create a right
environment which support students to learn through authentic interactions, support and
encourage them without any negative judgement.
Example: when teacher give task which reflects students interest, or any presentation on choice
of students will lead to increase interest of students in learning.
Q No.2

1.The reasons for not making the 10,000-foot balls.

The company missed its obligations to produce10,000-foot balls in required time. There have
been so many reasons that a company has not complete the task on time. The reasons may be
lack of resources, poor technology or poor employee skills. Here we can say that due to lack of
training employees have less skills to meet the target.

2.As training experts also analyze the target.

As a training expert I will suggest training is the only way to fix this problem and get employees
involve in the work to make them efficient in work and try to find out the weaknesses in the
training process.

A training gap is creating difference between actual and desired performance or output. The gap
can be identified with the lack of employee skills, so here training is needed to increase
performance of employees to a standard level. Employee assessment is an easy way to identify
skills related gaps. Need assessment is a process used to determine the training needs. It is the
first step in training process if it is poorly designed it will not be effective to fill the gaps.

Here are some training needs assessments to fill the Gaps.

1. Clear job expectations: job descriptions are the way to clearly mention job expectations from
the employee. Work requirements should be current and desired requirements, so it will become
easy to identify any training need.

2. Measuring performance: It is a basic tool to measure actual and desired performance which
can be satisfactory or not. It will show when and where an employee needs training.

3. 360-Degree reviews: Another way to identify the gap is 360-degree reviews. It is an appraisal
method through which feedback on performance is given by peers and managers.

4. Career development support: Employees have opportunity to rate their satisfaction level
with the training they are getting. And any improvement they think will be added to the training
process.
