failure Provide/prescribe a spacer
Observe for suppression of adrenal
function
Monitor for signs of bone demineralization
Monitor blood glucose levels
Interactions Recommend adjustment of dosages
accordingly
Potassium-depleting diuretics increases the risk of hypokalemia Observe for GI bleeding
NSAIDs increases the risk of GI ulceration
Glucocorticoids & hypoglycemic agents (oral & insulin)
counteract the effects
Client Education
Consume a diet w. sufficient
Evaluation of Medication Effectiveness calcium & vitamin D
