her college bus, got late and
also forgot her homework at
home. Her teacher warned and
scolded her. When she came
back home, she hit the wall and
chair, screamed on her mom
and slap her younger brother.

Altamash failed in his exams
because he didn’t study. He told
his family that he failed because
his teacher didn’t like him and
couldn’t teach him well.

Displacement Cause she is redirecting her
negative emotion from
original source to substitute
sources. She got scolded by
teacher as she couldn’t justify
that she didn’t do homework.
She got her frustration out on
the people who would listen.
So she has displaced all her
negative emotions.
Rationalization Because he is making excuses
for the behavior which is
considered unacceptable for
the family. So when such
things happen then a person
tries to give justification that
due to this and this I have
done this. So he is trying to
put the blame on teacher and
using his rational thinking to
avoid the consequences.
Regression Cause due to depressive
situation she is acting
childishly. It is too hard for
 as she is having suicide her to act normally. She is
ideation and severe acting as a child as because
depression. During the that was a satisfying age for
session, counselor notices her so to escape from the
present depression she reverts
to being a child. That’s why
in front of consoler her body
language and voice is totally
immature.
that she began to refer herself
by a 7 year old girl name, uses
a language and voice of a little
girl and act like a child.

Scenario no 4 Sublimation Because he is trying to act

out in acceptable manners
Zeeshan don’t like his wife and whether he doesn’t like his
spend a lot of time away from wife but he acted in
home with his girlfriends. When productive and beneficial
he comes home, he brings lot of manners. He tried to
gifts for his wife and praises her. compensate for his own
