ABSTRACT
The main purpose of the study was to determine whether
gender roles influences employee performance or not. To be
specific, it endeavored to specify the respondents’ age,
gender, civil status, occupation, and length of service. It
also attempted to determine the significant relationship
between gender roles and employee performance. The study was
conducted in selected businesses in Tagbilaran City, Bohol
and was conducted using descriptive survey. The main tool or
instrument utilized in this study was a questionnaire based
on a self-made format which was used to gather information.
The findings showed that there was a moderately positive
correlation between the paired variables which is gender
roles, and employee performance. It was concluded that there
was a significant relationship between gender roles and
employee performance in selected businesses in Tagbilaran
City. Based on the findings and conclusions accumulated in
the study, the researchers recommend utilizing the action
plan that was developed and proposed to raise awareness
about the gender gap index in the Philippines.
