M: T
hank you! It’s a pleasure for me to be here, too.
R: T
hank you. So, let me tell you that last week, we made a forum
where our spectators, who are also your admirers, and let some
questions that they would like us to ask you today.
M: T
hat's nice! I’m ready for whatever they want to know.
R: P
erfect! So, many of your admirers are very curious about the way
you express yourself in your paintings, they would like to know what
do you think about your style of art?
M: I think my painting style is a bit strange, it is not easy to
understand, but it is lovely when you understand what I want to
express in my paintings. I always say that art must be an expression
of love and our feelings are very important so that we know how we
feel about ourselves.
R: Yeah, you are right. We have to care about our feelings, the way
we feel and we must listen to our emotions.
M: A
bsolutely. I totally agree with you.
R: Very nice thought. Oh, since you are telling me about the
expression of love in art, what is your favorite painting? Which one
do you like the most?
M: M
y favorite painting is The Birthday, when I see it I remember my
times with Bella. That painting makes me feel that she is still here
with me.
R: O
h, yeah. It must be like a way to connect with her. And about
that, now that your life has changed, how do you feel when you are
painting and after you finish a painting?
M: W
hen I paint I only focus on what I want to express about one
moment of my memories, after that, I feel good because I remember
my own time of happiness.
R: Interesting and since we are talking about feelings, do you think
your enthusiasts are able to feel what you feel? Is it important to you
how a spectator feels about your paintings?
M: O
f course, because I am interested to know what the other person
feels about my painting and what they can say about it.
R: That’s lovely, I consider myself as one of your admirers, but I
have to say that I’m a little bit confused about some of your
paintings. I’d like to ask you, why did you choose cubism as a style?
M: G
ood question! I think it is a really interesting style and perfect
for my own painting style. It’s kind of unique, and geometrical figures
can be tricky to understand but they seem really interesting in my
paintings.
R: T
hat’s true. For me, it’s difficult to understand what you are trying
to say with cubism.
M: Y
es, that’s the point of cubism.
R: O
h, and something that I really want to ask you is if ever have you
felt confused about some changes that the world has faced, how has
the world crisis affected your art perspective?
M: I passed for two World Wars and it is not easy to forget, but I still
believe that people in the world can change and these two wars were
terrible mistakes. I know that society will learn from those mistakes
and overcome them.
R: Thank you for being here today with us! For sharing your thoughts,
art and love. Your admirers will appreciate it. I wish you the best in
your career as an artist. Hope you can come another time to visit us
here at ArtsShow.
