Dewatering plan and disposal of water

The excavation work shall be kept well drained and dry at all times and shall take all precautions
to prevent surface water from entering the are of excavation. Necessary pumps, hoses and other
equipment required for dewatering shall be arranged.

Subsoil water in the trenches shall be drained out using required capacity dewatering pumps
installed and the water is drained out from the site by diverting the water into temporary earth
drains, half round drains and pipe culverts.

While carrying out the excavation work network of temporary drains of adequate capacity shall be
provided to drain the site. The drainage system shall comply with the requirements of appropriate
local authorities. Necessary approval for the same shall be obtained before taking up the work.
