Essay about the following topic: Are we happier today than in the past?
 
Finding happiness is one of the most important topics of our time. Some people think we are less
happy than in the past; while others believe the opposite.
 
To begin with, nowadays people are more displeased than in the past. They experience a lot of
stress and they do not have enough leisure time. Everybody works almost all day and they
cannot be with their families.
 
On the other hand, people had more problems in the past than now. They had a lot of health
problems and there was no treatment for most of them. People did not have mobile phones to
keep in touch and it was difficult to travel.
 
In conclusion, people’s lives were not easy in the past but nowadays they still cannot live in
perfect happiness. In my opinion, people were more satisfied in the past as they had to work less.
