GSFC awards thyssenkrupp Industrial Solution (India) LSTK contract for Cryogenic
Ammonia Storage Tank

Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (GSFC) has inked a contract with thyssenkrupp
Industrial Solutions (India) to build a Cryogenic Ammonia Storage Tank with associated
facilities at their Shore Terminal in Sikka, Gujarat on LSTK basis.

The 10,000 MT cryogenic storage facility will support the fertiliser major’s Di-Ammonium
Phosphate complex in Sikka.

The project will use thyssenkrupp’s extensive experience of cup-in-tank double-integrity

suspended deck design that has been successfully put to use in a number of similar
Cryogenic storages across India & overseas over several decades.

GSFC’s association with thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions dates back to the mid-eighties
when the latter built the other 2 Ammonia Storage Tanks in the same location, also on LSTK
basis. Over the years, the engineering major has implemented a number of projects for GSFC
including the 3rd train of the Di-Ammonium Phosphate plant, and recently, the Additional
Facilities project for the company’s new Di-Ammonium Phosphate train.
