Chapter 4

PRESENTATION, ANALYSIS AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA

This chapter aims to present reliable information needed for the realization of this

study. This also contains presentation, analysis, and interpretation of the collected data

based from the assessment of water supply services at Gehis, Tabon, Bislig City.

Problem 1. What are the problems encountered by the consumers of Gehis, Tabon,

Bislig City regarding the water services of BCWD?

The figure shows the problems of water service in Gehis, Tabon Bislig City. Out of

30 respondents, 40% of them experienced inadequate water distribution, 33.33%

experienced no water supply and 26.67% experienced unpotable water supply. This

indicates that the major problem is the inadequate water distribution.

Problem 2. How long the resident experienced water interruption?

This figure shows how long water interruption experienced by the residents. Out

of 30 respondents 20% experienced 1-3 hours, 43% experienced 3-12 hours and 33 %

experienced 1-3 days in a day.

Problem 3. What are the causes of water interruption to the resident of Gehis?

According to research we conduct, inadequate water supply experienced due to

multiple connections of pipelines and not following standard connection of pipe called

clustering. In addition to these, residents of Gehis lived on elevated areas which water

cannot easily distribute on every household because extended connections were made

that result cuts-offs of water experienced in some areas.
