SW28(0) Cylinder head overview

General In case a cylinder head is ordered, in most cases a pressure tested cylinder
head or a service cylinder head is delivered.
To determine the material number of the needed cylinder head, please follow
the instruction below.

Instruction • Determine if an O-ring is fitted in the inlet valve guide of the cylinder
head. Look for instance at the corresponding drawing and part list of the
cylinder head, which has to be replaced.
• Determine the material number of the needed cylinder head by using the
overview.

A pressure tested cylinder head consists of the following main parts:
• Bare cylinder head
• Valve seats
• Valve guides
• Injector bush.
The cylinder head has been tested on leakage by using water pressure.
2)
A service cylinder head consists of the following main parts:
• A pressure tested cylinder head
• Inlet valves
• Exhaust valves
• Valve rotators.

Remark In case of receiving a request for a cylinder head without an O-ring

fitted inside of the inlet valve guide, please consider to remind the customer
on the contents of bulletin OI280/5104/16.
