The pre-stressing and tightening values for the connecting rod stud bolts have been reduced. This
reduction ensures higher safety.
If assembly work is carried out on the power plant, the bolt pre-stress must be reduced.
Previously Now
Assembly:
1. Tighten stud bolts firmly by hand. Same
2. Tighten nut firmly by hand using an Same
open-ended wrench.
3. Tighten stud bolts with 300 bar. Tighten stud bolts with 200 bar
4. Fit nut and tighten firmly by hand. Same
5. Pre-stress with 750 bar. Pre-stress with 500 bar
6. Fit nut firmly by hand using an Same
installation socket wrench.
Check: Tightening angle 90º ± 15 º Check: Tightening angle 60º ± 15 º
(1 1/2 hexagon ±1/4 hexagon) (1 hexagon ±1/4 hexagon)
Dismantling:
1. Pre-stress stud bolts to 750-770 bar. Pre-stress stud bolts to 500-520 bar
2. Loosen nut (5 hexagon). Same
Enclosure: Job card - 4030 Sheets 1 and 2 - with issue date 04.87
