My design is a residential
house that has two floors. It
consists of one Master
bedroom, one guest room,
two bathrooms, a kitchen, a
dining area, and a living
area.

I then multiplied 0.125 to the slab area
of the ground floor to get the volume of
the slab.

For the slab area of the ground floor, I divided the

floor into three rectangles. I then calculated the area
of those rectangles and then I added them altogether
to get the area of the whole ground floor.

ground floor to get the volume of
the slab of the second floor.

If I don't consider the slab openings for the second

floor, the slab area would be the same as the ground
floor. But, since I have to consider the slab openings,
I then subtracted the area of the slab openings to the
area of the second floor.
