ABSTRACT
In every country across the globe, there are tens of thousands of tons of wood and wood wastes.
From the observation of the researchers, wastes that are not widely reused are wood. As a
solution of that problem, wood wastes can use to make some recyclable product. The main
objective of this study is to produce a recycled product made up wood wastes and garbage case
can help the consumer to organize the garbage container and easily to take it into another place.
For this study, the researchers choose thirty (30) students from Grade 12 in Senior High School.
This study is experimental research and the researchers used availability sampling in choosing
the participants. The researchers gathered all the materials that is needed and assembled it to
form a recycled wood as garbage case. Based on the findings, overall mean is 4.09 and therefore
the researchers concluded that the study is successful due to the positive responses of the
participants that gave the study to be feasible in terms of product characteristics. Lastly, for the
future innovation of the product, the researcher suggested to improve the product by the
following: First, add more designs to make it more attractive. Second is to make it more durable.
Third, make it colorful or pleasant to the eyes. Fourth, make it efficient and lessen the size of the

about 14% of total global recycle wood (The lower percentage due to the expressive production
of recycled wood in other country of the world). The U.S is in extension, the biggest producers
of wood product in the world, averaging 143.3 million short tons or 130.3 million metric tons

The Findings of Rafael Darosa (2018) the study was to assess the feasibility of structure

determined. Particle board, made from industrial Pinups, particles were produce as control

produce durable garbage case from recycled wood. And it helps to improve the wood on garbage
Wood as garbage case is important because it helps to ecotype system to keep the
cleanliness in the community. Recycled wood can help to reduce environmental impact to
prevent trash. Up in the fills, and released air and water pollution. The improvement in
technology, used recycling are increasing in efficiency in recycling process the recent machines
are able to bundle large quantities of recycled wood in same time. Recycling wood is the

The main reason of this study is to resolve the differences between garbage case and

issue in the waste management is that the garbage bin at public places gets overflowed well in

hazards such as bad odor & ugliness to that place which may be root cause for spread of various
diseases. To avoid all such hazardous scenario and maintain public cleanliness and health our

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Research Design
The researcher design of the study is experimental research because one or more
variables are manipulated to know their effect on dependent variables.it is also important to
know what adaptable researches want to measure and test. Experimental research deals with

Table 1 represents the summary of frequency and mean of the respondent answers about
using wood as garbage case. Based on the summary of mean above, the highest mean is 4.4
which is the 5th statement that discusses of being eco-friendly there were 14 respondents stating
that the product is excellent, there were 14 for very good and 2 for the good. While the lowest
mean is 3.43 which is the 3rd statement that discusses of product design. The overall mean is
4.09.

Question 1. Do you think the product is easy to make and easy to assemble? Why?
There were two (2) themes. Under the Yes theme there were two (2) subthemes while
1. Yes
a. It uses wood
Majority of the respondents say that the garbage case is recycled because it was made up
of used woods. Student A discussed that “Oo, dahil brace lang at puro kahoy ang kanilang
ginamit sa produkto nila” so it means the product was acceptable in terms of recycled theme, the
used woods were obviously one of the recycling materials used by some of the product
nowadays.
b. Easy to assemble
Based on the respondents, the product is easy to assemble. As the student B said “Yes,
madali lang dahil gawa ito sa kahoy na pinakuan at nilagyan ng gulong sa ilalim” the statement
2. No
a. Needs an expert
Out of 30 respondents, 5 of the respondents stated that assembling of garbage case out of
recycled materials is not easy to build because it needs a help from the expert and doing this is
very crucial. “Hindi, kasi kailangan nito ang tulong ng eksperto at masusing paggawa” as student
Question 2. What characteristics or part of the product do you like best and why?
There was one (1) theme that the researcher gathered. Under this theme there were two
(2) subthemes.
1. Garbage case
a. Wheels
Most of the respondents said that the most favorable part of the garbage case was the
below part which is the wheels and as the student C stated “madaling gamitin at hilain”. It means
Another part of garbage case that most of the respondents is the folding the garbage case
because just like what the student B discussed, “Hindi sagabal ang space sa garbage case.” It
means that the product was not bulky and not spacious.
Question 3. Does this product come from being recycle materials? Yes or No and Why?
There were two (2) themes that the respondents gave, one is Yes and the second one is
No. Under the Yes theme there were two (2) subthemes while the No theme have one (1)
subtheme.
1. Yes
a. It made by wood

b. Improvised materials
Based on the respondents the materials used in the product were improvised to create the
garbage case as the student F said “Yes, because the product is made up by wood” that made the
statement strong.
2. No
a. Not a cost-friendly
Out of 30 respondents, 3 of the respondents stated that the assembling of garbage case is
made of wood is not a cost-friendly, “hindi kasi bumili kayo ng kahoy na material” it is student
G stated. It means that the product has it take too much cost to make the garbage case.
Question 4. In your opinion, how can this product be useful in the school or community?
There was one (1) theme that the researcher gathered. Under this theme there were two
(2) subthemes.
1. Useful Product
a. Easy to Carry

The qualitative data reveals that there are statistically significant and differences between the
answer of participants. The five (5) items designed to evaluate participant’s perception about the
effectiveness of the researcher’s product. The durability are the strength of the product got 4.33
mean. While the functionality of usefulness of the product got 4.23 of mean. In the other hand,
the product design got a mean with 3.43. Then for the cost-friendly or the cheap got 4.06 mean.
Lastly is all about being the eco-friendly of the product, which has 4.4 mean. And the overall
mean is 4.09.

a. As the result from the survey questionnaire, out of thirty (30) respondents, twenty eight
(28) answer yes because the garbage case is easy to make and easy to assemble because the
materials are easy to found in the community. And the two (2) answer no because the material is
not cost-friendly.

to improve more and the remaining two (2) respondents propose to enlarge the garbage case to
Conclusion
Base on the findings gained in this study, the following conclusions are presented:
Conclusion 1. This follows the analyzation gathered from the quantitative findings of the study.
The researcher got 4.09 for the overall mean. The garbage case is acceptable in terms if
durability with the highest mean of 4.33. While the lowest mean is 3.43 that defines the product
design.
a. The result shows that there are two (2) themes which are yes and no. yes is the
common theme with two subthemes. One is the use of wood, it means that the product is easy to
make because it is made up from used wood. The other one is being improvised of the product
b. The findings shows that there is one (1) theme which is the garbage case. Under these
themes, there are two (2) subthemes. First id the wheels that pertains that the garbage is easy to
use and it is a useful product. The other one is folding garbage case which means the product
c. the result shows that there are two themes . the first one is it made by wood which
means it was acceptable in terms of being recycled because the used wood were obviously one of
the materials used by most of the product nowadays. The other one is improvised which pertains
Recommendation
The following recommendations are from the study of the findings and conclusion.
The garbage case that made up of wood must develop in terms of product design and the size
because to make it more attractive and not spacious. It easily to user to use it and it is good in
everywhere. The respondents recommend to adjust the size and to improve the product design of
the product because the size of the product was bulky for the space on the classroom. Next,
improve the design of the product so that the people may recognize it easily. Lastly, the
respondents suggest to make another garbage case in different recyclable materials. It pertains
