ABSTRACT

In every country across the globe, there are tens of thousands of tons of wood and wood wastes.

From the observation of the researchers, wastes that are not widely reused are wood. As a

solution of that problem, wood wastes can use to make some recyclable product. The main

objective of this study is to produce a recycled product made up wood wastes and garbage case

can help the consumer to organize the garbage container and easily to take it into another place.

For this study, the researchers choose thirty (30) students from Grade 12 in Senior High School.

This study is experimental research and the researchers used availability sampling in choosing

the participants. The researchers gathered all the materials that is needed and assembled it to

form a recycled wood as garbage case. Based on the findings, overall mean is 4.09 and therefore

the researchers concluded that the study is successful due to the positive responses of the

participants that gave the study to be feasible in terms of product characteristics. Lastly, for the

future innovation of the product, the researcher suggested to improve the product by the

following: First, add more designs to make it more attractive. Second is to make it more durable.

Third, make it colorful or pleasant to the eyes. Fourth, make it efficient and lessen the size of the

product to make it not bulky and spacious.

CHAPTER I

Background of the Problem

Based on the study of recycling of wood products Andrej, Brodnik (August, 2015) Use

wooden products, at the end of their service life, will be increase act and recycled to create ‘raw’

materials, which will fight with freshly gather and produced forest product and based on forest

sector, is a key pillar of Europe Bio economy. Using wood products can contribute to significant

CO2 saving in terms of greenhouse gas emission, absorb enemy and energy efficiency (Hill,

2011)

According to the ford and agriculture organization of united nature (FAU, 2010

statistics). The U.S and Canada are the 1st and 3rd largest producers of industrial round wood

(LIW), in the world, at once producing about 28% of the public stock. The two countries also do

about 14% of total global recycle wood (The lower percentage due to the expressive production

of recycled wood in other country of the world). The U.S is in extension, the biggest producers

of wood product in the world, averaging 143.3 million short tons or 130.3 million metric tons

over 30 years, hardly the less, the U.S consumed 172 million metric tons of wood product in

2005, with about 45% in the shape of lumbers, 38% in pulp ( Comprehend Hardboard and Isolate

board and 3% in “other producer” categories.

The Researcher Lara Ramon (2016), Wood is used as raw material to produce a wide

range of products in the pulp and paper industry (Paper, Cardboard, etc.) as well as in the

substitute Bio-Base economy ( e.g. wood-plastic-composites Bio ecological system.)

additionally wood products and by products are used for energy intent. Decent examination

suggest that a growing demand for materials and energy can command to a supply deficiency of
WOOD AS GARBAGE CASE

wood in the coming decade. The another resource effective use of wood offers the possible to

conquer the supply deficit and accelerate the availability of wood and a brilliant approach is to

embrace the cascading use of wood.

The Findings of Rafael Darosa (2018) the study was to assess the feasibility of structure

and demolition (C&D) waste wood for production of strain board. The raw substantial was gain

from a waste recycling company and it would divided into four types of materials, MDF

( Medium Density F.Berboard) MDF (Medium Density particle board), plywood and wood after

deduction of these wood products debris to particles. Particle board were produced, in the UFPR,

laboratory and a mark consistence 0.75 g/cm3 and the materials and mechanical properties were

determined. Particle board, made from industrial Pinups, particles were produce as control

sample.

The wood as recycling wood waste for producing new materials with demand mechanical

energy and large life cycle has become research interest over among engineers speculation, in the

101 are material science (De Fra., 2012). According to study of governance by the waste and

resources act in program (WRAP), some are the biggest producer of wood- waste some three

hoes (Defra, 2012).

Conceptual Framework

Using wood as garbage case is long lasting materials Overall, garbage case can help to

easy brought the garbage container. In making garbage case, the researcher uses the process to

produce durable garbage case from recycled wood. And it helps to improve the wood on garbage

case in the community.

WOOD AS GARBAGE CASE

Wood as garbage case is important because it helps to ecotype system to keep the

cleanliness in the community. Recycled wood can help to reduce environmental impact to

prevent trash. Up in the fills, and released air and water pollution. The improvement in

technology, used recycling are increasing in efficiency in recycling process the recent machines

are able to bundle large quantities of recycled wood in same time. Recycling wood is the

technique to ensure the environment to maintain natural state.

Statement of the Problem

The study seek to ensure whether wood were effective to use than other recycled

materials in using wood at Taal High School during the S.Y- 2019-2020 Specifically the

following problems were answered systematically in the research:

1) Are there significant differences in terms of overall quality of the wood as a garbage

case?

2) What are the insights of the students in terms of effectively and efficiency of wood as

garbage case?

Research Hypothesis

At 0.03 level of significance the following research hypothesis will be tested:

1) There are significant differences in terms of overall quality of the wood on a garbage case at

the start of the experiment.

2) Students gained positive insights from the product made out of woods.

Scope and Limitation of the Problem

The main reason of this study is to resolve the differences between garbage case and

expensive one. Using the garbage case, the findings also include the effect to the students and the

community and asking the respondents suggestions about the product. The researcher used

random sampling and this study were analysed base on the students and community. There were

thirty (30) respondents from senior high school.

Significance of the study

The level of the study is to know the importance to students and to the community. The

study was conducted at Taal High School during the school year 2019-2020 second semester. To

students, it could to increase the abilities in making garbage case, the students also love nature in

making, the product and it benefits than to adopt a new knowledge by their own. To know the

usage of materials it could develop students process in agreement of study skills and creativity

that can be helpful to their studies it may also encourage the students visualize by creating the

kind of garbage case using wood. In the community according to Sulman Zafar (2019) wood

wastes is usually practiced in large and modern building in recycling of wood waste is not done

by all wood industries, these wood used as fuel from bricks making, and help the community to

make the garbage case with using a wood waste.

REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE

According to Saman (2018) the right container for small scale cases this system is based

on Mendo board and sensor to watch the entirely level of the trash bin, the system is control by

lithium battery , power bank supported by solar cell panel, this system deliver an attachment of

changing external portable devices using power bank, besides the complex will key the storage

usage and or a memory card, which the bin is being used finally the system is successfully with

an adequate together in a cost for intended application and the trash bin was tested first indoor

without charging the power bank by the solar panel, the bin was installed outdoor in the main

square of nawroz university campus for a seven days.

The findings of Kumar (2019) in the past few years, the highest is breathless is going to

growth and to coming few years, the country would become evaluated. But the amount country

is incomplete without a garbage management system, so they have a design for proper

management of garbage, the experiment of the input is for the real time access of information

about the dustbin, this IOT for smart country in many aspects, this system will the overfill of

garbage bin and make the environment neat and clears.

The Researcher Olsen (2010) the garbage model is work under each of the value

organizational structures to assign problems and decision builder to choice and affordable energy

to make such choices and resolve the problems as the assignment and energy indicate are

attainable the twenty time period in a solution. Some set of abstract statistic in the process is

required.

According to Montri (2010) many measures to prevent wide spread of communicable

disease of depends on embedded into objects found in apublic place, this form it achievable to

have a thing with awareness on surrounding environment or having situation awareness. The

automatic garbage bin, have three design level for including situation awareness features

identified. Perception, comprehension and projection are there align with the required features.

Automatic garbage bin is implemented using design specification from the proposed design

concept.

From the Point of View of Priya (2016) civilization developed around banks, things were

manageable at all time as people lived in balance nature, industry change everything, at the list of

19th century the industrial revolution saw the rise of the world of consumes. The population

concentrate to developed around industrial area and urbanization process posed many challenge

before planning authorities.

From the Findings of chiou (2009) the invention is a garbage transit number top,

comprising of a headdress figure, a chapeau a top exterior and closing curtain definite quantities

and joining unit. One surface of the cover and the lid experiments and some of the most

engrossing conclusions of the food waste can worthy: most decisions area unit made without

determination any difficulty the a couple of problems that area unit unsolved generally pertain to

the berth hierarchic levels and consequently the member of an social group clash the

aforementioned elderly problems again and again.

From the findings of Yusof (2016) piles of rubbish one of the highest problems faced by

most people in the country of Malaysia, especially those who live in flats, as the number of bins

is limited and shared among all residents. It may cause pollution, which may lead to sanitary

issues and diseases. This product presents the development of a smart garbage monitoring system

in order to measure waste level in the garbage bin in real time and to alert the municipality, in

particular cases, via SMS. The proposed system is consisted by the SMS, and an Arduino uno

which controls the system operation. It via SMS when the waste bin is full or almost full, so the

garbage can be collected immediately. Furthermore, it is expected to contribute to improving the

efficiency of the solid waste disposal management.

According to Rashinkar (2017) waste management waste management is one of the

primary problem that the world faces irrespective of the case of developed the country. The key

issue in the waste management is that the garbage bin at public places gets overflowed well in

advance before the commencement of the next cleaning process. It in turn leads to various

hazards such as bad odor & ugliness to that place which may be root cause for spread of various

diseases. To avoid all such hazardous scenario and maintain public cleanliness and health our

work is mounted on a smart garbage systems . The main idea of proposed work is to develop a

smart intelligence garbage alert system for a proper garbage management.

physique are joined and positioned by a lid open and close unit that controls the opening

and closing lid. The other metal object of lid frame has a joining unit in which there is springtime

that can push button the lid up.

According to Fioretti (2010) we retrace cohen, march and olsen’ original food waste tin

can worthy of structure prize as a multi-cause group. We amusement that while some of the

original result might be viewed as a artifact’s of special mould choices, the base insights the

original worthy area unit confirmed over a beamy reach of enquiry condition. The technique

Lastly From the Point Of View of Kavery (2016) the process to the sensor module would

come from the waste bin which is placed at different localities in the public area, The sensor is

placed in the garbage bin a max level, if that level is crossed by the garbage in the bin, then

sensor will sense that and will communicate to ARM 7 controller technology. When the garbage

box I becomes full, the ultrasonic sensor attached to its lid will detect the level and send a

command to the receiver . the receiver will always receive the command and show the condition

of garbage box on liquid crystal display, at the same time a same message will be sent to a

driver’s mobile that a particular garbage bin is completely full through short message service.
