Date: 11th of February Time of Lesson: 9:00-10:20

1. PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE AND OSERVATIONS

Key: S-Skills, K-Knowledge and O-observations.

13 out of 16 students turned up for the online class last Thursday (O).

All students seem to be taking their roles seriously at the start of class, I thought they wouldn’t be
interested however they seem to be a very mature group (O).

From the previous lesson the students found the SolidWorks model helped them to visualise exactly
what they are drawing; this is something I could use again (S).

Reinforcement of Key terminology is needed as I found that student A and B were getting confused
when Questioned in the previous lesson (K). (Picture Plane, Ground Line and Horizon Line)

Student Speed to completion of the Question needs to try being improved in today’s class (S). They
will only have 35 minutes in the Leaving Cert.

Auxiliary Vanishing Points need to be understanding needs to be improved in this lesson (K)(S).

2. LESSON RATIONALE

Brief outline of approach for lesson WHY KEY*

As the students seem to be enjoying having roles such as:

1. Contact Tracer. RL
2. Timekeeper.
3. Online safety officer.
4. Mediator
This seems to get the students more involved in the online setting which is something I
struggled to get engagement at the start.

Solve sloped surfaces using Auxiliary Vanishing Points through completion of a Leaving Cert RL
Higher Level Question.

Distinguish between terminology in relation to Perspective Projection reinforcing on RL

previous lessons.

Use a SolidWorks model to help students Visualise an object and to develop a knowledge on
RL
the software.

Execute an exam setting for the students to try increase speed of drawing skills. This is good
preparations for examinations. NL
