It is my great pleasure to recommend Sean Merrins for a job as a Construction Studies, Design and
Communication Graphics, Wood Technology and Graphics teacher. I am a past teacher, mentor and
friend of Sean and have had the pleasure of teaching and working with him in serval instances.

As a student Sean exceeded expectations consistently and drove on others around him to do well in
the classroom. I watched him grow from first year to sixth year in my classroom into a fine student
and from a very early age he was aspiring to become a teacher of technical subjects. I thought Sean
in both Design and Communication Graphics and Construction studies which he excelled in. He got
on tremendously with staff in Kildare Town Community School and was picked for Head Boy in his
final year which shows how he is such a responsible young man.

I had the opportunity to mentor Sean when his college GMIT Letterfrack approached the school for
Sean’s second School Placement. I can safely say that he presented himself in such a professional
manner returning to his old school. Sean is genuinely interested in teaching and constantly reflecting
on past experiences to develop his learning. From talking to other mentors Sean worked with in both
Ard Scoil Rath Iomghain and Naas Christian Brother school he most definitely impacted the school in
a positive manner and rose to the challenge.

As you can tell, I think highly of this young man starting out his teaching career. Please contact me if
