The COMPOUND MICROSCOPE has two systems of lenses for
greater magnification, 1) the ocular, or eyepiece lens that one looks
into and 2) the objective lens, or the lens closest to the object and to magnify a small object or to magnify the fine details of a larger object in order to examine minute specimens that cannot be seen by the naked eye.
The GRADUATED CYLINDER is used for measuring volumes
(amounts) of liquids.
FLORENCE FLASK it is used as a container to hold liquids. A Florence
flask has a round body, a single long neck, and often a flat bottom. It is designed for uniform heating, boiling, distillation and ease of swirling; it is produced in a number of different glass thicknesses to stand different types of use.
ERLENMEYER FLASK is used for the mixing of chemicals. Big base
leads to stability. Narrow neck to prevent splashs.
GOGGLES or SAFETY GLASSES, are forms of protective eyewear
that usually enclose or protect the area surrounding the eye in order to prevent particulates, water or chemicals from striking the eyes. They are used in chemistry laboratories and in woodworking PETRI DISH is use to swallow a cylindrical dish that has a lid, useful for watching a chemical reactions.
The TRIPLE BEAM BALANCE is used to measure masses very
precisely; the reading error is 0.05 gram.
A RUBBER STOPPER or a RUBBER BUNG is mainly used in
chemical laboratory in combination with flasks and test tube and also for fermentation in winery.
A TEST TUBE HOLDER is used to hold Test Tubes. It is used for
holding a test tube in place when the tube is hot or should not be touched. For example, a test tube holder can be used to hold a test tube while it is being heated.
