A. Content Standard
The learner demonstrates understanding of the musical characteristics of representative music from the
lowlands of Luzon.

B. Performance Standard
The learner performs music of the lowlands with appropriate pitch, rhythm, expression and style.

C. Description of the Performance Task


Music is highly influenced by Spaniards. Our ancestors used improvised musical instruments. The vocal
music is about religious and secular songs. They are very artistic in nature because they use natural
resources present in the locality to produce musical instruments. You as a student, sings folksong/harana
from the lowlands of Luzon.

G- The student sings folksong/harana from the lowlands of Luzon.

R- You are a singer for a local band in your community

A- The teacher will be the judge

S- You are a singer for a local band in your community. Your barangay held a singing contest wherein the
theme is about showing patriotism in your country. You are tasked to sing some known Filipino folk songs or
harana. Your teacher would be the head jury of the said contest.

P- Performing Arts
