1. Close the air hole by turning the
collar.
2. Bring a lighted match to the top of
the barrel.
3. Turn on the gas slowly.
4. Adjust the collar until a steady
blue flame is obtained.
5. To obtain smaller flame, close the
air-hole a little or reduce the gas
flow and vice versa.

HAZARD SYMBOLS
Some  chemicals  in  the  lab  are  harmful  to  our  body.  Thus,  
hazard  symbols  are  used  to  show  nature  of  the  substances.  
These  symbols  can  be  found  on  the  labels  of  the  chemical  
boCles  /  containers.
