Module 1 Learning Activity

Physical activities are considered to be a necessary health routine to every


individual. It will surely bring benefits especially in the long run. By doing this, we are able
to have weight management, bone and muscle strength, give relief to muscle pains, and
most importantly it would protect us against health conditions. The benefits don’t just stop
there, doing physical activity is also known to give us energy boost, more quality sleep, a
younger and healthier skin, and it boosts our mental health. In essence, physical activity
should be taken seriously if you want to obtain optimal physical and mental health.
As a learner in the middle of a pandemic, taking up physical activities in school is
prohibited and so we resort to conducting it at the comfort of our home. In my situation, I
am fortunate to have a home where I can freely commit to my physical and mental health.
This would be made possible and fun especially if I have my own set of protocols for
conducting physical activities. Since I know I am physically capable to do strenuous
activity, the first protocol that I will follow would be wearing the proper attire (shirt,
jogging pants, socks and shoes) appropriate to the kind of activity that I will make, extra
clothing and towels shall be present at all times in case needed. Second protocol would be
related to safety, if in any case the activity will be conducted just outside the house, safety
equipment should be present (facemask, alcohol, first aid kit) Third protocol would be the
provisions and that includes the equipment and necessary things that will help accomplish
the activities (water, mats, tape, stopwatch, volleyball, basketball, etc) shall be present.
Physical activities are indeed a fun thing to do but it can also be tiring and you’ll be
vulnerable to injuries. However, what matters most is that it will benefit both our physical
and mental health which is very important now that we are facing this pandemic. This will
also teach us how to be disciplined when it comes to reaching a goal, and to stay committed
in any task or challenge, so that it will lead us to a good and healthy lifestyle.
