The proverb “The squeaky wheel gets the grease” depicts the idea of the need to be vocal

especially in rising certain issues that requires immediate action. It is convenient to express your
concern when you have the attention of the people around you, so by making “noise” you can
effectively convey your message to them and get the proper response you want from the parties
involved in the certain issue. As stated by The Idioms (2020) the proverb means that to get something
fixed, it is required to make a noise to get attention. It is effective to be loud to draw the needed
attention towards a problem that needs solution. This emphasizes the importance of our voices and
individual thoughts, that we should not be silent in times when a problem occurs because every opinion
or concern matters for the common good because a glitter of hope that our voices will be the key to
many opportunities and solutions in the future.

 Wiring a Web for Global Good

In the continuous growth of the world towards betterment and development for each nation, no
one can deny the impact of technology process of providing different and proper solution in every crisis
that is faced by the world. The video “Wiring a Web for Global Good” talks about the importance of the
unity of each country in terms of global ethics which I also considered to be essential to understand the
people and the crisis that they are facing to provide an efficient solution to certain problems that
requires global attention. The phrase “what we see unlocks what we cannot see” stated by Gordon
Brown depicts the picture of the global community as a whole in terms of sympathizing towards
different global issues that have created suffering to our fellow human, to present our concerns even if
these problems does not personally affect us, although we cannot directly offer our help due to different
limitation and boundaries, it tends to open our eyes to what is really important, that the desire to help
crosses the boundaries of any religion, nationality, gender and tradition. That despite the differences in
each country, the human moral to desire the greater good uphold each one of us.

Provided with the technology that we have today, we are able to effectively raise our arguments
and express what is happening around us. Brown also stated that the power of our moral sense allied to
the power of modern communication and our ability to organize internationally gives us the first
opportunity as a community to fundamentally change the world, this statement emphasizes the
overview of the strength of what we can do being nations united to perform our different
responsibilities across the world. This statement reflects the power that we have if we are connected
and open to each other in the current situation that we are facing. It also aims to distribute the power
not only to the people who we considered to be on top but to hear the voices of the public who is
deemed to experience the world as it is in their daily lives because through them we will be able to
understand the effect of a certain situation to global society effectively because they are most affected
individuals in every crisis.

The world is reflected to be a series of reaction, meaning the issues or progress of a certain
country affects the others as well by that every notion and action for development should conform or
connect to others as well. As mentioned by Brown, “with the challenge we now face most of which are
global in nature” demands the cooperation of each country to find effective solution to each crisis. The
connection between countries disregarding its economic stand is in the process of making growth in
different aspects such as security, health, environmental and economic aspects to be shared and
distributed across the world and that is should be based on the principle of justice and equality. This can
be achieved by creating different global institutions that would focus on listening and analyzing different
solutions for each problem to ensure stability and enough resources for the people to live decent life.
