timetabled Mathematics lesson.
TIME ALLOWED: 40 MINUTES

DESCRIPTION OF TASK
Short Answer Assessment Task. The topic to be assessed are:

1. Algebraic Expressions and Indices – Chapter 3 A - I


2. Financial Mathematics – Chapter 1
3. Measurement – Chapter 2
4. Probability – Chapter 4
5. Equations, Formula and Inequalities – Chapter 9
6. Single variable and Bivariate Statistics – Chapter 5
7. Right Angled Triangles – Chapter 8 and Trigonometry Supplement
8. Linear Relationships – Chapter 6 (excluding 6J)

Chapters listed are to be used as reference only.

INSTRUCTIONS
 Students are to bring with them a calculator, their geometry set, ruler, lead pencil, eraser, writing pens and
sharpener. Students are not permitted to borrow any equipment from teachers or other students on the day of
the exam.
 Students are permitted to bring one A4 page of handwritten notes into the exam (they may write on both sides
of the paper). This will not be assessed.

IMPORTANT
It is your responsibility to ensure that you reschedule any music lessons or appointments with the counsellor that
clash with the date of this assessment task. Failure to do so will not be considered as a misadventure. Please refer
to the assessment and related policies for further details.
