Final Exam Paragraph-based Writing

1. Narrative paragraph
I was going to The Tea Garden of Medini to do my organisation’s program for two
days. The program called ‘Bakti Desa’. We arrived there at 11 o’clock. First, we arranged our
items at the lodging that we have rented, the lodging is one of the villager house. Before we
prepared the first agenda, we went around for a while to enjoy the scenery offered there.
After dhuhur, we prepared the opening ceremony of our program along with the chairman of
the village. Than, we have our lunch before the afternoon. In the afternoon, the boys played
volley ball with the some youths at the yard while the girls joined the older womens cooking
some food and snack. In the late late afternoon, some of us -including me- took a bath at the
waterfall, the water was so cold. In the night, we set a campfire while we enjoyed the food
and snack the girls cooked before. The next day in the morning, after we have our breakfast,
the boys joined the older mans to fix the water pipe which placed far enough from the village.
We took two trucks to went there. Meanwhile, the girls set some small competition for the
kids. Our last agenda was closing ceremony. On that ceremony, we gave some goods that we
brought as contribution for the village. We hope that our contribution can be useful as we can
take some useful leassons along our visit on there.

2. Descrptive paragraph
Medini is one of the beautiful tea gardens in Semarang. I once went there to do one of
my organisation program. The air’s temperature is around 15-20 degrees in the day and
around 5-15 degrees in the night that I think that is normal considered it is placed on the
mountain. Not much different from the air temperature, the temperature of the water is also
very cold even if during the day. There is a village that consists of some semi-permanent
house. The houses belong to the villager, they often rent out their house to the visitor. Some
of the villagers also function their house as a small shop. When you look down, you can see
a city scenery of Semarang. Meanwhile, when you look up, you can see the beuatiful very
large tea garden. Among the tea garden, there are some paths that spread a garden to another
garden so you can walk around there to take photos or enjoy the scenery. There is also placed
some areas that you can build a tendcamp. After all, Medini tea garden is suitable to soothing
your mind because of the very beautiful scenery it offers there.

3. Expository paragraph
Being a leader is not easy. For instance, there is some character that you should have
when you lead an organisation. The first thing is the leaders confidence. Confident leaders
create confident team. Without confidence, leaders could make very fatal decision. The
second is organiztion. Organization makes the hard thing or problem become simple. There
are some things that the leaders shoul organize very careful, those are time, work, people,
communication, etc. The third is negotiator. Negotiator have to analyze problems, listen, and
work towards a solution that works for everyone while keeping their cool. And the last but
not least integrity. When the leader lose their integrity, their lose their identity as a leader.
Integrity in the leaders also shows how professional the leaders are. Those characters are not
easy to build in a leader, if they can’t buid it, fake it until you can make it.
