Jane Austen "Pride and Prejudice"

Having read the novel "Pride and Prejudice" I liked the most the part, which
describes the meeting of Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy.  In it I found the moments that
evoke feelings for the main characters and hint how their relationship will develop
later.  The only thing I did not like is the attitude of Mr. Darcy to Elizabeth and his
perception of her as of not attractive. I would like Lizzy to touch each chord of Mr.
Darcy's soul from the moment their eyes meet first time. Furthermore, I would love if
beauty did not not play such Integral role in people's perception of others, because
Lizzy was not only good-looking, but also broad-minded, witty and playful, this
combination is such a rarity among the girls.  In my opinion, it would be nice to
change this part in a more optimistic way, where the main characters don't struggle so
much and the plot does not keep the reader in tension until the end.
When Mr. Darcy first saw Elizabeth at the ball, he was conquered by a girl from a
big poor family. She captivated his heart from the first minutes and enchanted him
completely, it was love at first sight. An enviable bachelor with unimaginable wealth,
immediately invited Lizzy to dance. However, he had a tendency avoid dancing at
balls at all, because he was contemptuous of such time-wasting activities, but when
he saw Elizabeth, his whole system of principles was turned upside down. During the
dance they grew fond of each other. Elizabeth charmed Mr. Darcy with her spirited
wit and expressive eyes.
His feelings began to develop more and more during the following meetings.
And then, seeing her again, the bachelor could not help himself. Darcy proposed to
her. Lizzy immediately agreed, because she was head-over-heels in love with Darcy.
He did not pay attention to her position in society, and wanted to introduce Elizabeth
to his sister Georgiana. It was such an honor for the poor girl. At the meeting,
Elizabeth made a good impression on Mr. Darcy's sister and she approved of her
brother's choice. Mr. Darcy later helped the Elizabeth's family to solve their uneasy
financial situation. The father thanked Mr. Darcy for helping his family. For the
Lizzy's sisters, Darcy became a support not only in terms of finances. He tried to
improve their educational potential, he also, paid intense attention to Lydia. Darcy
forbade her to hang out with the regiments of officers, knowing that she would not
deprive no officer of her attention. What is more, he armed her with the heartbreaking
information about Wickham, knowing like the back of his hand, the nature of that
vicious young man. Mr. Darcy treated a poor family in an admirably mature and
applause-worthy manner!
Later, Elizabeth and Darcy celebrated the wedding by inviting family and friends.
It was the loudest and most breathtaking wedding ceremony that anyone could
remember and our heroes lived happily ever after.
