PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION
first, actively listening, seeing students for who they are, believing in
them, and get to know how they learn best. I believe that teachers
should possess the following qualities of caring, being open minded,
responsible, and hardworking. Caring for a student can mean caring
enough to give them the help they need in class or caring about
outside issues like making sure the student themselves is okay.
Education can be taken in many forms, like teaching people how to
live in the world through common and or educational knowledge.
Each of these things are very important and I think that they both
need to be taught in the classroom for the student’s best interest.
RELEVANT SKILLS
LESSON PLANNING
 Written many lesson plans for my own teaching or for other
teachers benefits.
 Co taught with two teachers in the classroom and teaching
on my own or with small groups of students.
STUDENT DEVELOPMENT
 Strongly believe in group work or stations, sometimes
students can flourish by working together.
 Working with children one on one to see where they are
with the new curriculum.
 Hands on can help children be able to fully grasp the
subject we are talking about.
 Classroom and time management in the classroom is
something I excel at.
TEACHING EXPERIENCE
 Participated in a 30-Day Student Teaching experience as
part of Washington Township High School’s Tomorrows
Teacher course. The Tomorrows Teacher program is
designed for students who want to pursue a field in
education.
 Student teaching at Grenloch Elementary School,
focused on special education in the classroom. Working
with both general and special ed has taught me new
ways two teach the same lesson multiple ways.
 Lead activities in the classroom alone, and with the help
of other teachers present.
 Part of the program “Child Care” students, four to three
years old, come in and a lesson must be planned for
them every day.
