1. Should the “works” of National Artists like Francisco Manosa, specifically the SEA Games 2019 Cauldron,
really be expensive? Cite one detail from the reading material to support your answer.

Yes, I think it would really be expensive because as it was said in the article that it was made by a National
Artist. And that made the piece a unique artwork done by renowned artist in the Philippines. Other thing to
consider are what materials have been used. As it was also stated in the article that it was compare to an old
proposal that may have a different material needed and of course the rate of currency during that time are also
different. For that, let us not forget every small detail that might affect the cost of the said piece, nevertheless,
that will be the price as to what have been indicated as a made of one of the National Artists in the Philippines.

2. Is the cauldron suggesting cultural authority or cultural heritage? (Choose one only, avoid answering “it can

A cultural heritage for it signifies the day where the Philippines hosted the SEA Games. And from the article
where it shows a similarity to the Centennial Tower may be a from of heritage that the proposal paper is made
into reality in building it. Another thing is that heritage entails of loved work which is what it was describe to
Manosa where he excited to make this project. The cauldron will now be a permanent piece of artwork that
will be told to the next generation, making it a historical piece that will represent as a cultural heritage.
