2. Motivation:
The teacher will group the class into four groups. They will play a
GUESSING GAME. The teacher will post a picture with a jumbled word, the first
one to give the correct answer will have points.

The teacher will distribute to each group an envelope containing a task

card.

Instructions:
Match each picture to its meaning. Then, choose one from the group to be the
reporter.

B. Abstraction/Generaliza
 Let the class read the Various Ways of Finishes written in the manila paper or
using the PPT. Discuss the lesson to the class.

Various Ways of Finishes

1. Brush Method- Surface finishes are applied with brushes rather than with
rags. Oil based finishes are applied with a natural or a synthetic brush while
water-based with a synthetic brush only.
2. Spray- is commonly used by painters and finishes because of the speed and
simple way of operation.
3. Dip Coating – Dipping though old and simple yet effective and cheap.
4. Roller Coating- a finishing method in which the panels are fed between two
rollers. It is best suited for applying fillers or undercoat than topcoat

ways for the main door?
4. Why do you think it is the best way for you?

D. Integration of MATHEMATICS subject

Dana noticed that their bamboo Sala set needs to repaint. She decided to
paint it. She will be needed a 2 cans of paint and a paintbrush. She went to a
hardware and buy the materials. The 1 can enamel paint cost Php200 and
paintbrush cost Php30. She spent Php430 for the paint and paintbrush.

How much did she spend for the 2 cans of paint?

If Dana gave Php 1000 to the cashier, how much is her change?
