II. Solve

1. Find the variance and standard deviation of the following discrete random variable X with the
following probability distribution.

2. In statistics examination, the mean grade is 78 and the standard deviation is 10. Find the following:

a. The corresponding z-score of the two students whose grade are 92 and 63 respectively.

b. The grades of two students whose z-scores are 0.5 and 1.1 respectively.
