 LESSON PURPOSES: Asking for the time: What time is it? / Target vocabulary.

SESSION 1,2 TIME:50’

How are you...  Use of the verb be for telling the
time.
 Previous knowledge.  Brainstorm  Do you know read the time in
a clock?
Assessment

 Target vocabulary  Blackboard  LL, will remember the spelling
for the cardinal numbers.
 Listening and  LL, learn specific vocabulary
speaking skills and the use of the verb “Be”
for telling the time. Example:
quarter/ half/ what time is it?
It´s seven o´clock.
 Participation time  Notebook  T, will draw on board a clock
and Ss, will write in their
notebooks the correct time.
 The correct spelling of the
numbers and writing the time.
HOMEWORK:
The students will build a clock and
bring it to the class.
They can use different materials for
build the clock.
NOTE: The clockwises have to move.

 Analog clock  T, will explain to Ss, the different ways to
telling the time. Example; It´s quarter past
two/ It´s five to six….

 Ss, will use the clock that they ask them for
the homework.

 The teacher will say a time and Ss, put the

correct time on their clocks.

writing of the time in English.
