HOUSE RULE: The following are expected to be followed:

1. I must take the exam on the designated date and time. Present test permit when I take the exam.
2. If I miss the exam, I will be initially be given an INC. grade for the course. I will complete the INC grade
within _________. If my reason for missing the exam is valid, I may be given another schedule for make-
up or completion. I am aware that make-up exams are given ___________ the academic year so it is
important for me to take the exam on the scheduled date.
3. I will avoid or minimize my absences and tardiness in the online class. In case of my absences, I must
document it by certifications. And so with tardiness within and beyond 15 minutes. If I have 3
accumulated late within the 1st 15 minutes it would mean 1 absent. Unexcused absence means no
special quiz will be given.
4. I will submit my assignments or requirements on time. Otherwise late submission of requirements may
automatically mean a grade of 75 and non-submission will be marked incomplete or zero.
5. I am aware that any form of cheating in the examination or any form dishonesty in relation to the
requirements of the course shall be dealt with accordingly in accordance to the provisions of the code of
SMU manual regarding student conduct and discipline.
6. I will always ask permission when logging out for personal necessities.
7. I will not browse my books while doing online class instead I will read and make ahead notes for the next
topics to be discussed.
8. I will study my lessons as indicated in my course guide in advance; I will do time management and
prepare for the next days of lessons. I will actively participate during the scheduled zoom meetings or
lecture.
9. I will not use my cellphones and other gadgets during class time. I understand that my Violation will be
dealt with according to the Student manual for conduct and discipline.
10. I will give my maximum cooperation/participation in each class activity and study hard my lessons.
11. I will always observe a good working relationship with my classmates and to my teacher.
12. I will observe proper netiquette rules all the time.
13. I will observe proper decorum during classes ( eg. Proper attire, no eating during classes., formal profile
pic .)

Reminder: If face to face class will already be feasible during the 2 nd and 3rd term, the same house rules applies
in the laboratory area for return demonstration.
