Subject: - Work Order for Sand Blasting, Metalizing & Painting work of 123m span welded Steel Bridge
Girders for new rail cum Road Bridge over river Ganga at Pahlejaghat/Patna.

Dear Sir,

With reference to your offer for the subject work and subsequent discussions between us, we are
pleased to award the above mentioned work to you as per the following terms and conditions:-

1) Scope of Work :- Sand Blasting, Metalizing and application of three coats of paint on finished
fabricated components of bridge girders(both inside & outside) including necessary handling,
spreading and shifting of the finished components to the specified area, as directed, after
completion of each activity.
2) Quantity of Work :- Item – (1) Sand Blasting and application of three coats of paint (18000sqm)
Item – (2) Sand Blasting, Metalizing & application of three coats of paint
(20000sqm)
3) Unit Rates: - For item (1) Rate per Sq. Meter shall be Rs.35/-
For Item (2) Rate per Sq. Meter shall be Rs.75/-
The rates mentioned above are fixed rate and no escalation shall be payable till
completion of the work.
4) Completion Period: - Within three months.
5) Payment Terms: - For item (1): -
70% of unit rate after sandblasting & 1st coat of painting.
10% of unit rate after 2nd coat of painting.
10% of unit rate after 3rd coat of painting.
10% of unit rate after inspection & acceptance be client/Rlys.

For item (2): -

70% of the unit rate after sandblasting, metalizing and application of
wash primer.
10% of unit rate after 2nd coat of painting.
10% of unit rate after 3rd coat of painting.
10% of unit rate after inspection & acceptance be client/Rlys.

RA bills shall be raised by you on the last day of the month duly approved by Engineers for the work
done during the month and payment shall be released before 15 th of the next month.

5% of the gross value of each RA bill shall be retained as SD which will be released after three months
from the date of completion of work.

6) Other Terms & Conditions: -

I. The work of Sandblasting, metalizing & painting of bridge girders shall be carried out
strictly as per IRS: B1-2001 & the “Technical Specification” enclosed as “Annexure – A”.
II. Proper inspection reports of the various activities i.e. (stage wise inspection) are to be
maintained and in case of any rectifications that has to be carried out by you at no extra
cost to us.
III. All the machineries/equipments required for the work shall be provided by us.
IV. Safety appliances i.e. helmets, safety shoes, safety belts etc. shall have to be provided
by you to the workmen.
V. All the consumables required for the job shall be provided by us.
VI. Proper records of consumables used vis-à-vis progress of work shall have to be
maintained and cost of the consumables issued in excess shall be recovered from your
RA bills.
VII. For consumption of various consumables (i.e. aluminium wire, LPG, Paints etc.) a joint
record need to be maintained between engineers of M/s Royal Infraconstru Ltd. &
yourself.
VIII. P.F and other statutory obligations as per labour laws have to be maintained be you and
shall be in your accounts.
IX. Accommodation to the workmen shall be provided by us.
X. Power supply & water for the work will be arranged by us.
XI. You shall deploy adequate qualified & engineers/supervisors at site for planning,
supervision monitoring of the progress of work.
