 The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is written by Mark Twain.


 Tom appeared in front of the house with paint and big brush on Saturday morning .
 All the summer world was bright and fresh and full of life .
 Tom appeared in friont of the house wih a big brush .
 Tom became sad when he looked at the fence as  it was long and high. He wet the brush and moved it
along the top board .
 The painted part was very very small.
 He sat down.
 He felt that he could not continue.
 Jim , a boy who worked for the family , came through he gate.
 He was going to get water .
 Tom offered Jim one of his playthings for doing his work .
 Jim was not able to do the work as Aunt Polly was returning to the house.
 Tom was painting as fast as possible .
 Tom kept working .
 Tom and Huck had planned to race down the river .
 His hands moved slowly .
 Soon the other boys would come and laugh at him for working .
 At this moment , a wonderful idea came to him
 He took his brush and went quickly to work.
 Suddenly Ben appeared there. 
  Tom had been afraid of Ben's laugh .
 Suddenly a wonderful came to him .
 When Ben came and stopped near him , he continued his painting and did not acknowledge his presence .
 Ben Shouted loudly and made other strange noises.

 Tom knew that a boy will desire something if it is not easy to get.
 Then Ben offered an apple to Tom in exchange for being allowed to paint . .
 When Ben made fun on him Tom told that it was not every day that one got to paint a fence and it was a
job of a skilled artist and there was real pleasure in doing this .
 He did not allow Ben to paint even a little bit and kept increasing his interest . He also said that Aunt Polly
wanted this fence to be perfect.
 Tom gave the brush to Ben slowly but with joy in his heart Tom sat under the tree, eating the apple and
planning to get more help.

 Then Ben offered an apple in exchange for being allowed to paint.
 He even tricked with other boys like Bill Fisher and Johnny Miller to do his job.
 By the mid-afternoon he had received many gifts and fence had been painted thrice.
 If There was more paint he would have owned everything belonging - playthings , a small cat with one
eye , a piece of broken blue glass and much more from the other boys in the village to the other boys in
the village and they would have continued doing his work .
 At the end, Tom realized and discovered a great law of human action. – A man / a boy will desire
something if it is not easy to get.
 A neutral summary tells the ideas of the source’s author without including any of the ideas or feeling of
the person writing the summary.

 A cinquain poem is a fine line poem that does not rhyme.
