INTRODUCTION TO THE POLITICS AND GOVERNMENT

As I explore the subject towards learning about politics and governance, it is an important
task to explain the things that will be discussed in our subject. As the humanity explores and
conquer the world, we also learned how to organize our system that was meant to improve and
develop the lives of the people. They created the system of ensuring the right allocations of
resources, created a system that makes decisions that will benefit a larger part of the group and
the Greeks coined this system that was meant to decide in a systematical manner “Politika”
which defines the word “Politics”. This system keeps the people to move in an organized manner
and used by states to help produce a system that governs the country and this usually comes in
branches which commonly consist of Executive, Legislative and Judiciary. This system is called
Government and the process of creating decisions for the states, the rules, norms and power to
the society is the description of Governance. In a government that creates laws and regulations.
The government creates a law that serves as the backbone of the functions of the government in
what principles it should implement and prioritize, these fundamental policies are enclosed in a
Supreme law of the land called Constitution. All these systems and terminologies are the fruits of
sovereignty. When the state has its own powers which are vested in the leader, government or
institution, Sovereignty is attained.

The sovereignty of the State is vested in the government. Its task as mentioned in the
Constitution is to protect the rights of the people and the security of the nation. As we faced the
unwanted effects of this pandemic, the Government must be in the frontlines providing the
information of the virus and addressing its crisis. The government must also create policies that
limits the entrance of people in the boarders of the country and must pass legislations that
guarantees the financial security of the people as the country faces the damages in our economy.
It also means that it needs to maintain stability throughout the country and must create measures
that protect the country through the pandemic and must follow the advices of experts in the field
to help respond in a fastest time possible. The purpose of the government plays an important role
in our society and must be the example of competency to help address the COVID 19 Pandemic.

To end this essay, let me define what is the meaning of Political Government in my
perspective. The Political Government is an institution that caters to the decision making, policy
making, rules and regulations of the Government that was created to serve the people and ensure
a systematic process to help address the problems of the state. The political government is the
product of having a sovereign state that protects the rights and ensures that the people are not
deprived of their basic rights as a human living in the society.
