To Whom It May Concern:

It is with pride that I compose this letter of recommendation for Tesha Houston. I have known
Tesha for the last three years. I had the privilege of being her English Teacher during her
sophomore year and I have had the opportunity to work closely with Tesha for the last two years
as her Class Advisor. Tesha is a thoughtful, kind and confident young lady—it has truly been a
pleasure to know her.
Tesha has proven her dedication to the Blackstone Valley Tech community through her choice of
activities. She has participated in our Varsity Cheerleading Program for the last four years and
has been selected as a Captain for each of those four years. As a Captain, Tesha has been a role
model for Blackstone Valley Tech’s newest cheerleaders, has been responsible for teaching
cheers and routines, and has encouraged school spirit at various events including pep rallies and
athletic competitions. As if this were not enough of a testament to her leadership abilities, Tesha
has also taken on a role in Blackstone Valley Tech’s Student Government. For the last two years,
she has served as the Class of 2021’s Secretary. In this role, Tesha has organized and promoted
fundraisers, increased communication between staff and students, and established relationships
with local businesses. Tesha has always been responsive, respectful, and professional in this role
and has proven herself to be a valuable member of the Class of 2021’s team.
Tesha has also been a leader in her chosen vocational-technical program: Culinary Arts. She
works closely with the program’s chefs to learn various food preparation and cooking methods,
sanitation procedures, and product purchasing strategies. Additionally, Tesha assists with
managing Blackstone Valley Tech’s on-campus, full-service restaurant: the Three Seasons
Restaurant. She is responsible for a variety of duties including hosting, serving food, and
ensuring each patron has an enjoyable experience. Tesha is successful in each of these areas and
demonstrates a sound ability to communicate professionally with her peers and members of
Blackstone Valley Tech’s community.
It is with great certainty in the success that Tesha is, and will be, that I recommend her to you.
She is a wonderful young lady who has much to offer and I wish her all the success that she truly
