1. Choose one of the Members of the Congress, either alive or dead whom you
consider as a hero and state three (3) characteristics, attributes, and
achievements and why did you choose her/his? (15 points).

18th CONGRESS
Abante, Bienvenido Jr. M. Manila, 6th District working as House Deputy Speaker
since 2020. I choose him as my considered hero because of his strength as a
person even though he was born with so much money that he support himself
to live. He also done working as a contraction worker, cleaning other shoes in
the market ect.. him to continue fighting in his journey. He also serve god
“pastor” Metropolitan Bible Baptist Church and also Ministries in Santa Ana,
Manila. For his achievement, he pass the bill of anti sex-video he also one of
the author principal of (FOI) who advocates freedom of information that is why
I admire him as a hero for his administration.

2. In your answer in No.1, identify the type of Filipino leaders he/she

exhibited and explain. (8 points)

He does not mind what his position is as long as he is believed that whatever
their position in life in politics world from his people there are always a way or
a thing that connect us from each other. He argued that whatever the things or
circumstances have been facing as long as we look for each others “bayanihan”
we can conquer the problems. He may be old enough but I salute him he is
standing as our guide like our god been send him to be our way of advocating
“bayanihan” in the Philippines.

and Power from the government have differences when they function.

Power in Political System works upon influencing their people to get and
achieve what they want in their society. According to Michel Foucault, he
comprehends the power to “strategies” that shall be delivered and being able
to connect to the power of relations that existed through the society or in
government. For instance, Vote purchasing is one of the illegals doing of
joining legislative issues to get the compassion of their objectives to win the
position. Candidates have the kind of power to manipulate their people come
with the word “it’s a win, win situation” where the money is involved since our
country Philippines poverty and overpopulation is in demand money is needed
to survive, and it’s the best strategy to win a position in the government or
influence their people to obey their rules. Similar to how Hannah Arendt sees
Political issues. She stated that power is a force against individuals, uniformity
is the thing that she implied if there is no force there is uniformity, no poor,
there is a support of one otherwise called “Bayanihan” an acclaimed word in
our county Philippines regarding assisting each other like nobody with being. In
any case, Political power intends to control the public authority to overwhelm
their kin, utilizing their capacity to engage themselves in their plans through
defilement, unlawful exchange, control of individuals, especially from average
people.

6. Discuss the role of the people in the process of of initiative and

referendum. (8 points).

In political wording, the activity is a cycle that empowers residents to sidestep

their state council by putting proposed resolutions and, in certain states,

The Referendum Bill (Statute) – it is the system where legislative can pass a
bill recommending for execution or rejection, also it is generally helping to
shape a political conversation around an issue. It all around has various sides
and long period of time of political crusading unquestionable from office
holders. It’s all around attracts only the people who are enthused about the
issues.

The referendum Measure (local) – also known as Ballot, it is a piece of

recommendation or proposed that can be approved or rejected by the eligible
voters. It is more restricting compared to referendum Bill, and it happens
during a period of normal democratic, with the goal that individuals may not
hear much about the polling form question until they are in the democratic

interaction of law-making. California, for instance, had a great deal of issues

And the Initiative on the Local Legislative which suggest a solicitation, a
recommendation proposing to authorize a local, cities, civil barangay law
objective or commands.

7. Discuss the significance of the different principles in the political activities

of the legislative branch of government. (8 points)

• Overrides the president veto with 2/3 majority votes

• Impeach and convict federal official
• Declare war
• Pass a bill

Among the three branches of the government, the legislative branch has the
power to remove President executive branch from his position and can defeat
the Presidential veto means every decision, ideas, recommended ordinance
implication that the presidential tend to bring to life Legislative branch here to
study and analyze the said cases before the effectiveness of ordinances to the
public all. However, there is a process of investigation and deep analysis upon
the impeachment of the President and attempt to override the Presidential
veto which this two effectively done through the 2/3 majority vote (article VI
sec. 32) which acted of congress to prevent the Legislative branch to use
power than the usual. (article VI sec. 16 (3))
