Subject: Manufacturing of CMS End Cap Tooling

Dear Sir,

This is with reference to the subject mentioned job, we are pleased to submit our quotation as under.

1. Scope of Work & Price:

 Manufacturing of End Cap Tooling including:-

i) Support Platform Assembly (01 Set)
ii) Assembly Platform (01 Set)
iii) Rotating Platform (01 Set)

 F.O.R. Karachi Seaport in sea worthy packing and Exclusive of All Taxes prices for
scope of work mentioned above will be US $ 315,000/-
 50% of total cost i.e. an amount of US $ 157,500/- to be paid as advance payment by
CERN to HMC-3 and balance payment to be made after job completion.
 Payments to be made in following HMC-3 account (with prior info to HMC-3):

Note:
No details have been shared with HMC-3 regarding assembled end cap absorber
structure. Therefore, we are not in apposition of offer our services for assembly, load
testing (rotate the assembled end cap absorber structure with its axis in the horizontal
position and measure its deformation), disassembly etc. The cost of same can be
provided separately subject to provision of said data / details / specifications to HMC-3.

2. Material:

All raw materials will be provided by CERN at HMC-3 Taxila, while consumables will be
arranged by HMC-3.

3. Deliver Period:

Delivery period will be 8 – 10 months after issuance of formal work order and signed copies of
manufacturing drawings, approval of quality plan, receipt of advance payment, receipt of all
raw materials at HMC-3 site whichever is later.
4. Inspection:

i) The client shall provide signed copy of drawing(s) along-with formal supply order.
ii) HMC-3 shall prepare quality plan and submit them for approval of CERN before start of
manufacturing activities.
iii) Inspection as per client’s provided manufacturing drawings and approved quality plan
will be carried out by HMC-3 and final acceptance to be provided by the client before
delivery.

 Manufacturing of CMS End Cap Cylinders and Absorbers as per details given below:-
i) Absorber Assembly (35 mm); 22 Nos. US $ 690,300/-
(as per drawing No. CE-H/4)
ii) Absorber Assembly (Dia 5.2); 18 Nos. US $ 1,028,000/-
(as per drawing No. CE-H/3)
iii) Back Disc Absorber Assembly; 06 Nos. US $ 360,700/-
(as per drawing No. CE-H/2)
iv) Inner Support Cylinder Assembly; 02 Nos. US $ 130,000/-
(as per drawing No. CE-H/1)
v) TOTAL PRICE US $ 2,209,000/-

 50% of total contribution of mandatory contribution of CERN i.e an amount of

US $ 1,104,500/- to be paid as advance payment by CERN to HMC-3 and balance
payment to be made after job completion.
