REORGANIZING THE BARANGAY DISASTER RISK REDUCTION AND MANAGEMENT

COUNCIL (BDRRMC)

WHEREAS, Presidential Decree 1566 provides for the strengthening of the Philippine disaster control
capability and established the National Program of Community Disaster Prevention;

WHEREAS, RA 10121, or the Philippine Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Act of 2010
provides for the creation of local disaster risk reduction and management councils and enumerates their functions;

WHEREAS, in order for This Barangay to comply with this mandate, reactivation and reorganization of
the Barangay Risk Reduction and Management Council (BDRRMC) is necessary;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JONAR T. LIMOS, Punong Barangay of Mapalad, Tarlac City, by virtue of the
powers vested in me by law, hereby reorganized the composition of BDRRMC, with the following compositions:

SECTION 2. FUNCTIONS

The BDRRMC shall perform the following functions.

1. Establishes the Barangay Disaster Operations Center.

2. Formulates Disaster Preparedness Plans.
3. Coordinates with the BDOC the disaster operation activities of its tasked units.
4. Submits recommendations to the Sangguniang Barangay for the declaration of State of Calamity in
the Barangay

SECTION 3. EFFECTIVITY.

This Order shall take effect immediately.
