1. Methodology of Instruction
. real-time video lecture during this spring semester

2. Evaluation and grading

. Attendance 10%, homework 10%, midterm exam(presentation) 40%, final exam 40%
Also quiz, learning attitude will be considering

3. Prerequisites
. Electrochemistry and LIBs engineering

4. Course objectives
. This course is related to more detail description of lithium ion batteries (LIBs)
process based on chemistry and materials including nano-concept and how we
can learn it. The research trends on various kinds of LIBs is very important to
develop and improve the process/analysis technique. We will find and learn how
to prepare the samples about cathode and anode, electrolyte, other related
subjects through the published papers. Lots of papers related to nano-based
LIBs, flexible LIBs, and all-solid LIBs are reported. Theoretical approach or
experimental results about them will be studied through team-based mission.
More detail understanding for LIBs application is very promising through this
lecture.

5. Course Description
. The new approach and trends of LIBs to overcome the present problem of
them will be introduced, in detail. On the basis of the acquired information from
published papers, students who composed of team should be explained and will
be cross-evaluated from other team and instructor.

6. Required Textbooks
. LIBs: Basics and Applications, by Reiner Korthauer, Springer 2018

7. References
. LIBs: Science and Technologies, by M.Yoshio, R.J.Brodd, A.Kozawa, Springer 2009
. LIBs: Fundamentals and Applications (Electrochemical Energy Storage and
Conversion) by Yuping Wu (Editor), CRC press 2015
